Henrike Mueller

AI Policy Adviser, Financial Conduct Authority

Dr Henrike Mueller is the Financial Conduct Authority’s Policy Specialist on AI, working in the FCA’s Innovation Department. Henrike has been leading the FCA’s external approach to AI since 2017. She is a co-author of the 2019 and the 2022 machine learning surveys, the final report of the AI Public Private Forum and the AI Discussion Paper (all jointly published with colleagues from the Bank of England), as well as a number of blogs that discuss the use of AI in financial services.

Having previously worked on financial stability issues and non-bank lending at the FCA, Henrike’s background is in financial services regulation. She holds a PhD in European Studies from the Sussex European Institute at the University of Sussex.
