Drag Artist and Producer, The Zizi Project
This is Me…Notorious Narcissist. Glamour Clown. Professional Idiot. A master of lip sync and hilarious host with an aesthetic best viewed through a pair of sunglasses, Me is one of the top Drag artists the UK has to offer. Since 2020 Me has been the director of drag on The Zizi Project, collaborating with digital artist Jake Elwes. The Zizi Project is a collection of works exploring the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) and drag performance. Drag challenges gender and explores otherness, while A.I. is often mystified as a concept and tool, and is complicit in reproducing social bias. Zizi combines these themes through a deepfake, synthesised drag identity created using machine learning. The project explores what AI can teach us about drag, and what drag can teach us about A.I.
What is Lorem Ipsum?
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
