Mophat is an experienced data trainer in the field of machine learning and AI, with a background as a content moderator since 2019. Throughout his career, he has actively advocated for fair working conditions and the dignity of African youths involved in AI development. Currently, he serves as one of the committee members and founders of the African Content Moderators Union, established on May 1, 2023. The union is dedicated to advocating for the fair treatment of African tech workers, addressing issues of working conditions and promoting professional development.Mophat has been a vocal advocate for inclusive and non-discriminative AI policies. His focus extends to ensuring that individuals in the Global South are engaged on fair terms when contributing to AI development at any level. He is passionate about fostering an environment that encourages diversity, equality, and ethical practices within the AI community.

In 2023 Mophat was awarded the RAISE 2023 Outstanding Individual award from the Responsible AI Institute. This recognition specifically acknowledges his inspirational leadership in responsible AI, spanning areas such as research, advocacy, policy, and the establishment of trustworthy frameworks,  highlighting the positive impact he strives to make in the AI landscape.As the Founder & CEO of Techworker Community Africa, he continues to lead initiatives aimed at fostering a thriving tech industry on the continent. The organization is dedicated to empowering, informing, and supporting tech workers, with a focus on safeguarding their rights and cultivating confidence and enthusiasm for contributing to the growth of the digital economy.
