Nick Dale

Superintendent, West Midlands Police

Nick Dale is a Superintendent with West Midlands Police. He has had a variety of roles in recent years, including as the Local Responsible Officer for Birmingham – a role designed to tackle issues of violence and exploitation relating to gangs and organised crime. He was also the Senior Investigating Officer for Operation Fort – the UK’s largest modern slavery investigation, which involved about 400 victims and offenders receiving nearly 70 years sentences so far – and has been the law enforcement subject matter expert for the Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner. He has also led a project developing advanced data analytics to help solve pressing policing problems including modern slavery.

Nick is currently Head of Prevent for Counter-Terrorism Policing West Midlands.
