Sophie is a Research Application Manager at the Turing Research and Innovation Cluster in Digital Twins (TRIC:DT). As part of the Innovation and Impact Hub, she works towards open and reproducible computational and social tools around digital twin technology across a range of sectors. Sophie’s background is in cognitive neuroscience. She holds a PhD from the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics, where she applied machine learning techniques to neuroimaging data to study the neurobiology of language. Prior to joining the Alan Turing Institute, she held a position as Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford, studying the learning mechanisms of both humans and artificial neural networks.
What is Lorem Ipsum?
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
