Forest is London’s most affordable and sustainable dockless e-bike operator whose mission is to facilitate mode shift away from cars – in 2023 alone it gave away 14 million free minutes of riding and eliminated 235,000 car trips from London’s roads.
Forest is proud to have partnered with The Alan Turing Institute to give AI UK attendees free minutes to travel to and from this year’s event, attendees will receive a discount code by email in the weeks running up to the event, keep your eyes peeled!
The QEII Centre meet high standards of sustainability.
The Centre recognise the importance of environmental best practice and place it at the heart of their offering as a venue, which includes: actively monitoring their footprint; using energy-efficient catering equipment; having a biodegradable, low-waste philosophy and contributing to charity.

Travel is the main source of emissions generated during an event. We selected a venue that is sustainable, as well as centrally located and easily accessible, but we also recognised the need to offer a virtual option to further reduce carbon emissions.

Plant-based foods typically require far less water, land, and energy to produce compared to animal products. They also generate fewer greenhouse gas emissions during production so making this change to our menu helps us in reducing the carbon footprint of AI UK. All dietary requirements will continue to be met with our delicious plant-based food options.
Behind the scenes, the organising team are considering all aspects of our event footprint.
We are being guided by the 4 Rs (in order of importance): refuse, reduce, reuse and recycle. We are seeking to first refuse to produce any wasteful items, and then consider the other options. We’re striving for a low-waste event and hope you can join us!
